Dan, the owner of the academy has an extraordinarily deep understanding of the theory and practice of the art which is backed up with outstanding results over his twenty plus years of competing at the highest levels of the sport.
The atmosphere at the academy is very supportive and friendly. The more experienced students freely offer advice to the less experienced students on how to improve their game. Dan is continually looking for ways to improve the academy and provide a better service for the students.
Dan is always willing to help his students on or off the mat. His attitude toward teaching and running the academy of fairly informal and he has built a family friendly atmosphere at the academy.
I would highly recommend DC Jiu Jitsu to anyone who wants to take up or further themselves in the sport. They were very welcoming, friendly and open to a person from another club coming to train. It was a relaxed atmosphere with a knowledgeable instructor. From my brief experience of DC Jujitsu I would recommend it highly.
